Dantrindo started from a humble beginning in 2002.
I’m the founder Jose. I’m from Denmark and moved to Indonesia in 1998.
By 2001, I had met my coming wife, and the two of us founded Dantrindo on 17 January 2002.
Facing the tragic events of World Trade Center attack on 11 September 2001, we knew it was a challenging time to start a business, but yet no guts no glory!
A smaller part of our house become our office, our living room was turned into showroom during customers visit, and our garage served as a small warehouse.
We decided to start small and focused on healthy growth step by step, we also decided to never to borrow money. Dantrindo has always been self-financing until the day today.
The business scope was to make inhouse design, good technical drawings, marketed the products, and do 100% QC on site. In other words, we outsourced all manufacturing. Our target market was DIY stores, so prices point was medium to low.
After few years, it was clear there was a great demand for services and products that Dantrindo could provide.
By 2008, Dantrindo was facing challenges and hardship from declining sales, we decided to focus on new segment of customers. Our business scope become Medium Up Market, premium product in good quality at a fair price point.
By 2013, Rio join Dantrindo as shareholder in the company. Rio spend 5 years living in USA where he got his bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering and get some work experience. Today he work with our team focusing a lot in day to day operations in production floor, to make sure our products are delivered in good quality, on time delivery, and within production budget.
We believe that technology always wins, so step by step, we started to invest in automation technology and we have grown to be one of the biggest suppliers in Indonesia, peaking at yearly production capacity of about 500 ton Alumunium, 300 ton Stainless steel, and additional 200 ton Teak Wood, transformed into outdoor furniture.
During all these years the management, our professional team, along with our partners around the world, has created countless series of outdoor furniture designs. Everything we do at Dantrindo is guided by a vision to ensure that we all go the extra mile to help our customers reach the full potential of their market while we are here, making sure it happens.
We have gained trusts from various Brands, importers, and wholesalers across the globe to provide high quality, strong and reliable furnitures.
It is nothing other than proven capability, performance, and reliability that made our customers keep coming back to us. As of today, 70% of our turnover come from customers who have bought products for more than 18 years at our place. These we considered as the evidence of our commitment on win-win business.
A lot has happened since our humble beginning in 2002, today we have around 70 fixed employees and about 300 contract workers at our production facility.
We still work a lot with subcontractors, where we estimate an additional indirect workforce of 1000 people.
Over the last few years we have invested more than 1 Million USD in production machinery, extensive amount of softwares, and building the know how to utilize them.
Our factory floor today covers more than 26.000 m2 under roof and we have a peak capacity of more than 50 x 40 HC a month.
